Glean
PaidWork AI that works for all — Agents, Assistant, and Search across your company.
Glean is an enterprise Work AI platform that unifies search, an AI assistant, and custom AI agents on top of a permission-aware knowledge graph built across 100+ workplace apps.

What is it
Glean is an enterprise Work AI platform built on a permission-aware knowledge graph spanning 100+ workplace apps. It ships four product pillars — Glean Agents (build and run AI agents that automate work), Glean Assistant (a personalized Q&A assistant), Glean Search (universal enterprise search), and Glean Protect (real-time permissions and AI governance) — plus a Platform layer of APIs, SDKs, and custom plugins. Originally an enterprise search tool, the company rebranded around the Work AI Platform positioning and now leads with Agents.
What it can do
Search across Google Drive, Gmail, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Box, and dozens more; chat with documents and threads via Glean Assistant; build agents that debug code, resolve support incidents, review sales accounts, onboard new hires, or patch IT compliance; extend Glean to any app via Platform APIs/SDKs/plugins; and enforce permission-aware retrieval through Glean Protect so users only see what they're authorized to access.
Who is it for
Mid-to-large enterprises and fast-growing startups (typical minimum deployment ~100 users) deploying AI across knowledge workers — engineering, customer support, sales, HR, IT, and operations teams that already live across many SaaS apps and need a single permission-aware AI layer.
Key Features
Glean Search – universal enterprise search
One search box across 100+ enterprise apps, with native connectors for Google Drive, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint / OneDrive / Outlook / Teams), Slack, Confluence, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Box, and dozens more. Results respect each user's existing permissions in the source system, so Glean never shows results the user isn't already authorized to see.
Glean Assistant – personalized Q&A and content
A workplace AI assistant that answers questions, drafts content, summarizes long threads and docs, and analyzes data using Glean's enterprise knowledge graph as grounding. Basic and Standard models in fast mode are included in seats; Premium models (auto-selected when reasoning is needed) draw FlexCredits from the org's pool.
Glean Agents – build agents for departmental workflows
Glean's agent platform lets customers compose AI agents that automate repetitive work, orchestrate multi-step processes, and execute actions across connected apps. Each agent run consumes FlexCredits based on complexity (data sources searched, steps taken, memory maintained, actions executed, and models used). Common templates: engineering debug code, support resolve incidents, sales review accounts, people new-hire setup, IT patch compliance.
Glean Protect – real-time permissions and AI governance
Glean Protect enforces real-time permissions, audit logging, and trust controls across the platform. Permission inheritance is live — when access changes in Google Drive or SharePoint, Glean reflects it in the next search/answer — so AI doesn't leak content beyond the user's source-system rights.
Use Cases
Engineering teams debugging code across the codebase
Use Glean Search to find prior incidents, design docs, and related PRs across GitHub/GitLab/Jira/Confluence, then chain to a Glean Agent that proposes fixes referencing past patterns.
Customer support resolving incidents faster
Support agents query Glean Assistant for the right runbook from Confluence, ServiceNow knowledge articles, and prior Zendesk tickets; Glean Agents can auto-draft response macros based on similar resolved cases.
Sales reps reviewing accounts before meetings
A Glean Agent assembles a one-pager per account by pulling from Salesforce/HubSpot, Gmail/Outlook threads, support tickets, and product usage notes — runs before every customer call.
People ops onboarding new hires
A new-hire onboarding agent walks employees through internal portals, surfaces team docs, schedules intros, and answers HR FAQs by grounding in Confluence + Workday + Slack content with the user's own permissions.
